Segway-Ninebot Charger Guide: Which Charger Does Your Model Use?

Quick answer

Most Ninebot ES, E, F and D series scooters use the external 42V 1.7A charger with a round Segway/Xiaomi plug. The Max G30, G30P, G2, G3 and P-series have a built-in charger and only need an AC power cord. Kids' models like the C2 and C2 Pro use a 25.2V charger.

Three main charger setups

Segway-Ninebot builds scooters around three charging designs. Knowing which one yours uses saves you from buying the wrong part — especially for built-in-charger models, where an external brick is not needed at all.

External 42V 1.7A charger

Most 36V Ninebot scooters use an external brick rated 42V 1.7A (about 71W) with a round coaxial plug shared with Xiaomi scooters. In our data this includes the ES1, ES1L, ES2, ES3, ES3 Plus and ES4, the E22, E25 and E45, the F20, F25, F30, F40 and F65, the F2, F2 Plus and F2 Pro, the E2 Pro, the D18, D28, D38 and D40, the T15 and the Max G30LP.

Note the Max G30LP: unlike the other Max models, it uses the external brick.

Built-in charger (AC cord only)

The Max G30, Max G30P, Max G2, Max G3, P65 and P100 have the charger inside the scooter. You connect a standard AC power cord from the wall directly to the scooter. If your cord is lost or damaged, buy the correct power cord — an external 42V brick is the wrong part for these.

Kids' scooters: 25.2V

Ninebot's kids' scooters use a lower-voltage 21.6V battery with a 25.2V charger, typically on a DC 5.5×2.1mm barrel plug. In our data the C2, C2 Pro, E2 and E2 Plus use the Segway kids' charger, while the C8, C9, C10, C15, C20 and the Zing E8, E10 and E12 use a generic 25.2V kids' scooter charger. Never use a 42V adult charger on these.

Higher-power models

The 48V F3, F3 Pro, ZT3 Pro and GT3 use a Segway 48V turbo charger (53.6V in our records), and the GT1 and GT2 use a GT-specific original charger. Buy these from Segway or an authorized seller.

How to confirm yours

Check the model name on the stem or deck sticker and the OUTPUT line on your charger, or look for a power-cord socket instead of a DC port. Then open your model's page on this site for the charger output and plug we have on record.
